Painters in Wedgewood-Houston, Nashville

Wedgewood-Houston and Edgehill, the blocks between Rains Avenue and 12th Avenue South, are one of the corners of Nashville we work in most. Seven recent jobs, five customers, and two of them have already hired us twice.

The housing here is mostly new: two- and three-story townhomes, side-by-side pairs, condos and small multi-unit buildings, with the odd older cottage and a lot of block and stucco walls along the streets. Each type needs a slightly different job.

Townhomes and infill

Tall lap-siding exteriors with crisp white trim, covered entries and detached garages. On Rains Ave we painted a two-story townhome top to bottom outside (siding, trim, doors and the detached garage), and the same owner hired us back for the inside. High gables like these are routine work for our exterior painting crews.

Inside these newer homes the walls are flat and new, so every roller lap shows. One Rains Ave owner had us paint stripes through the foyer, stopping cleanly at the stairs. Condos and apartments

A lot of our work here is patch-and-paint: fill the nail pops, dings and move-out damage, then repaint so the unit looks new. On Merritt Ave we did exactly that for a condo owner.

Block walls and murals

Wedgewood-Houston is full of art on its walls. For one client we primed and base-coated long cinder-block and stucco walls so a mural artist could paint over them, then came back later to match the color on another run of blocks. That's commercial exterior work, done on the same fixed-price basis.
