What We've Done in Oak Hill

Our most recent finished job in Oak Hill was a 1950 brick-and-stone home with new cedar shakes in the gables on every side. The new shakes had weathered unevenly: some still close to their original tone, others lightened by the sun. We sealed every shake section on the main house and the pool house with two coats of penetrating oil-based stain and sealer, brushed into the rough cedar, and used a tinted coat on the lighter faces to bring the whole house back to one warm brown.
