What We've Done in 12 South
At a historic home in 12 South we finished a newly installed 9-foot cellular PVC fence post and its ball finial in the darkest color the owner could choose. Dark colors absorb heat and PVC moves more than wood, so we used a bonding primer and two premium exterior coats: the system that keeps a deep finish from peeling outdoors. It was a small job, and we price small jobs the same way as large ones.
