Top-Rated Painters in Goodlettsville
Interior, exterior, cabinet painting & deck refinishing in Goodlettsville. Premium products, experienced crew. Free estimates.
Goodlettsville sits north of the Nashville city limits, and the housing splits cleanly by era. Most of it went up between 1970 and 1999, with another third built since 2000 — subdivisions like Twelve Stones Crossing, Copper Creek, Parkview Preserve and Dry Creek Farms — and a smaller share of older stock from the 1940s to the 1960s. Parts of it are genuinely rural despite being inside city limits.
Those two halves need different work, and knowing which one you own changes the quote.
1970s to 1990s Homes
This is the bulk of Goodlettsville and it is the group with real prep in it.
Aluminum and early vinyl siding. Common through this era, both paintable, and both needing a wash and a bonding primer first. Aluminum chalks heavily with age — run your hand down a south-facing wall and if it comes away powdery, that chalk has to be washed off or nothing will stick to it.
Original wood trim and fascia. Thirty to fifty years of repainting builds film, and film cracks at the edges. We take it back to a sound edge rather than adding another layer.
Decks. Two of the six projects we have done here were deck refinishes, which is a high share, and it fits an area with this much lot size. Shaded boards hold moisture and grow algae, and a deck that has gone gray and slick on one end is telling you the finish is spent.
2000s and Newer Subdivisions
Different job entirely. Fiber cement and vinyl siding, factory finishes, and very little to scrape. The work here is usually interior — builder-grade flat paint is thin, marks easily and rarely survives the first few years of a family living in the house.
New drywall is also unforgiving. Flat modern finishes show every roller lap, so these jobs come down to consistent technique rather than heavy preparation.
Rural Edges
The more rural parts of 37072 bring outbuildings, fencing and metal roofing into scope. Metal wants the right etch or bonding primer and painting over rust without treating it just delays the same conversation.

What Our Customers Say
“I cannot recommend Andrew and Those Guys Painting enough! We had a coworker recommend them after they did a great job painting their house. We had wallpaper we wanted to removed and the wall painted. The job ended up being bigger than we initially expected. Andrew and Abraham worked hard to ensure a beautiful, incredible end result! We are very happy and will use them in the future for projects. We highly recommend!”

“Those Guys Painting left a door hanger at my house and I’m so happy they did! We were in the market to paint the entire house, but we didn’t have an ETA. Andrew and team were so patient with us. When we finally settled on the best time to paint, Andrew and Victor got straight to work! They made sure I was 100% happy, even going back and doing some touch ups :) It was a great experience and Andrew was very communicative. I will definitely be using Those Painting Guys in the future!”
Keli Hewson
“The reason why I'm giving these guys five stars is because of their customer service and because they did what they said they were going to do. The job they did is probably one of the highest quality paint jobs I've ever had in a home. Thanks a lot Andrew and everybody at those paint guys.”
